The Lincoln Shakespeare Company has been staging
the works of Shakespeare in Lincoln for 8 years. This Autumn the
company will stage Macbeth as its 27th production.
The company is ever mindful of the challenge to
students of both GCSE and A Level studies when putting the plays
that they read on the page into the context of the spoken word or
production.
Macbeth is a popular well loved play and appears
on many syllabuses. The Lincoln Shakespeare Company production will
be staged at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life in the room which usually
houses the hearses!! from November 8th to November 17th 2001 (excluding
Monday 11th and Sunday 12th November). This represents an opportunity
for students from Lincoln and the surrounding area to see a production
of Macbeth on their doorstep. The company is also willing to talk
to students about their ideas for the staging of the play as well
as individual characterisation ideas free of charge.
We offer a discount opportunity for school parties
